Motivation Video Instructions
Please follow the steps below:
- Make a 2-min video of yourself answering both questions below:
– Why did you apply to EMerald specifically?
– How does your background align perfectly with our master’s program?
Please make sure that:

You are visible on camera for at least part of the video.

We can hear your natural voice clearly (avoid synthetic or AI-generated voices).

The video should reflect your genuine motivation and personality — we are interested in getting to know you, not a text or an audio created by artificial tools.
- Create a Google Account (or use your existing one). Go to Google’s sign up page. Fill in your details: First/last name, a unique username (your email address) and a password. Follow the steps to verify your account (phone number, email, etc), and complete the sign-up process.
- Log in to Youtube with your Google account. Click the Sign In button in the top-right corner. Enter the Google email and password you just created, and you will be logged in.
- Upload your video. While logged into youtube, click the “camera icon” with a plus sign or the” create icon” with a plus sign (top-right). Select upload video from the dropdown. You will be taken to the Youtube Studio upload page. Choose your video file to be uploaded by clicking select files. After uploading, enter your name and nationality as title. No description is needed.
- Set the video as Unlisted. When you are on the video details page, look for the visibility section. Choose Unlisted ( this means only people with the link can view it). Click save. After saving, YouTube will give you a link to your video that you can copy and share.
- Share the Youtube link on the application form.
ps: if for some reasons you can’t have access to Youtube, you can use another platform as long as at the end of the day, you provide us with a URL link .
